E-learning tool on the rights of Indigenous Peoples

Through this free online learning tool from the United Nations, you will increase your knowledge and understanding of the rights of indigenous peoples, as recognised in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).

This UN Human Rights Office e-learning tool includes explanations on the key provisions of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, real stories and case studies on how indigenous rights are translating into real life situations, possible actions by the United Nations mechanisms, activities and quizzes, tools and resources.

Once you successfully complete the course, you will receive a certificate from the UN Human Rights Office.

The e-learning tool is divided into two modules:

  1. Understanding and applying the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)

  2. Promoting and defending the rights of indigenous peoples – find your way in cooperating with the United Nations human rights protection system
